Brussels Minor Ball Executive wants to thank all parents, coaches, visiting teams, fans, and, of course, the players for another successful Minor Ball Day!
Throughout an action packed day, we witnessed over 12 hours of baseball, had lots of Cotton Candy, ice cream and hamburgers and even squeezed in a ball throw competition and raffle.
We would like to thank the
Brussels Leos for another sold out BBQ.
As well,
The Neighbourhood Ice Lolly Trolley kept us all cool on the long hot day, selling her cold treats. She can be seen throughout the summer at several of the kids home games.
Thanks to Clouds of Sugar for their sweet cotton candy that was a hit with all kids (big and small).
Some of you might have also noticed
The Ranch 100.1 FM doing a live broadcast with several of our vendors and kids.
Big thanks goes to the Minor Ball parents who volunteered by lining the diamond, kept score, announced players, and helped run the raffle table all day!
Thank you to
Brussels Tigers Men's Fastball Club for lending us scaffolding
(special shout out to Taylor Juby who assembled it for us!) and sharing with us their minor ball wisdom & expertise. Check out their game schedule in the link.
Special thanks to the
Brussels Bangers Men's Fastball Team. They honored the player of each game by donating a hat to these players (one from each team). Some of the players of the game included Brielle Campbell (U11 Girls), Wes McDonald (U9), Lucas Blake (U7 Red), Claire Rammeloo (U7 Black), Kentyn Zyta (Tball Black), and Charlotte Rammeloo (Tball Red). The Bangers topped off the day with an action packed game against Wroxeter Rippers, defeating them with a 6-5 win. Their game schedule can also be viewed in the link above.
Thanks to Jillian Houston, who volunteered to complete some photography for us. Several photos will be posted on the Brussels Minor Ball Website under the Photo Galleries section in the next days/weeks to come.
Also check out The Citizen website, who also captured some great highlights from the day.
Winners of the Raffles included Vaughan Bachert, Christina Steplock, Aaron Long, and Joan Beuermann.
Winner of the Ball Throw competition was Kendry Noble, who is seen below with her winnings and ice cream from the Lolly Trolley.
Once again, we want to thank the community, parents, friends & family for coming out to support and cheer for our local teams! We look forward to continuing the tradition of Minor Ball Days for years to come!
